Please note, I’ve hidden other children’s faces where possible, however, if you’d like any photos removed, please just let me know and I’ll happily do so.
One of Lily’s highlights of Camp Bestival was the Tic Tac Skate School – she loved it so much that she came back again and again to do more and more sessions, so I thought I’d share a little review of the Tic Tac Skate School to say thank you for sharing the love of skateboarding with so many children, including Lily.

What is the Tic Tac Skate School?
The Tic Tac Skate School runs skateboarding lessons for kids and adults all around the UK, as well as providing workshops and lessons for schools, festivals, fetes and more on their mobile mini ramp.

The Tic Tac Skate School has worked with small and large festivals too, providing workshops and lessons for kids at Camp Bestival, Black Deer Festival and more.

Where is the Tic Tac Skate School based?
Anywhere and everywhere! The Tic Tac Skate School runs lessons in locations all over the UK, from local skate parks to festivals, whether it’s regular lessons or one-off sessions.

Our experience
The Tic Tac Skate School was about more than skateboarding. I loved their ethos, not just trying to get kids to learn something new, but also building their confidence and celebrating the successes of each other.

I also loved how they were making sure everyone in the class understood there was no such thing as anyone being a ‘better’ skateboarder than another – it was all about showing that kids can achieve anything they set their mind too.

Lessons started with all participants, no matter what their age or ability, learning to do a pancake flip on the board, showing they can achieve something from the very start.

Every one of the participants in the class were smiling and it was lovely to see everyone encouraged to clap each other.

They were then taken onto the ramps, to each get a 121 turn on the ramps with the instructor, to learn how to do the ramp themselves and even get to drop in with support. Those who had done it before were also taught something new, to help everyone achieve something.

We can’t wait to enjoy more Tic Tac Skate School at Camp Bestival Shropshire, but we will also definitely be booking on some skate lessons soon – Lily got so much out of those sessions and it was lovely to see all the other participants of all ages getting so much out of them too.

Thank you Tic Tac Skate School for not only sharing a passion for such an awesome sport, but also for showing kids and adults how much they can achieve too.
