We are huge fans of adventures, whether it’s daytrips, exploring the outdoors, camping holidays or festival weekenders, mainly because Lily has itchy feet as much as I do and can’t keep still!

Recently, we’ve been getting her experience days or adventure passes for her birthday and Christmas presents, but whether it’s an idea for a gift from a family member or an activity to keep her busy at home, there are always some great ideas for presents for kids who love an adventure.
Following the success of last year’s blog with ideas for Christmas presents for kids who love the outdoors, check out some of our top ideas here, from stocking fillers and activity ideas through to useful items for explorers of all ages.
Please note, some items have been previously gifted to us or we are brand ambassadors. These are clearly indicated with a *, however we would only recommend items we genuinely love!

Bundle Beds
After a recent explosion with Lily’s latest airbed, we’ve finally given in to our wish for a Bundle Bed! You can check out our full review here, but they’re a full bed in a bundle, complete with self-inflating mattress, pillow and 15 tog duvet, all rolled up into one easy-to-carry bundle.

Lily isn’t a fan of sleeping bags and so we find ourselves carrying multiple airbeds, pump, duvet and pillow across campsites and festival sites – the Bundle Bed has solved that!
We are also wanting to find more ways to protect the environment, and the Bundle Bed not only lasts from child to adult but it has a 10 year warranty too – long lasting and better than throwing away used airbeds.

They’ve worked with an osteopath to design the mattress with air and memory foam – something I was nervous about, but I loved it so much that I bought myself one too!
They really would make a fantastic Christmas present for any kids or adult who loves heading off on a camping adventure, overnight stay, sleepover, or even a living room campout!
Check out our full review here, plus you can find more about the Bundle Beds here.
Learning Resources UK Kidnoculars
Those who follow us will know how much we love the Kidnoculars from Learning Resources UK.
They’re child-friendly binoculars, set to a zoom, so kids don’t need to worry about changing any settings, and they fit perfectly in Lily’s hand, with a snug rubber seal around the edge to be comfortable on her face.

I also love the safety snap on the neck cord as although it can drop off when she runs around, I know she is safe.
What’s more, they’re a great distraction on longer walks to keep her distracted when her little legs start to get tired!

CarGoSeat*
GIFTED – Hello Communications Group
We were gifted this fantastic CarGoSeat that is an ultimate parenting hack when it comes to travelling with kids. It is a UK and EU regulation approved booster seat for kids that also doubles up as a pull-along travel case!

Lily absolutely loves packing bags to take “on holiday”, even if we’re only heading to the shops, and my car always looks a state when we head out, so this has been amazing to keep everything in one place – and she has fun packing it too!
What’s more, you can use it as a camping/picnic chair when you’re out, as well as a booster seat to take through the airport for when you may be hiring a car on holiday.

What’s more, the amazing people at CarGoSeat are actually recycling the seats once you have finished with them, so less waste heading to the landfills!

Nom Nom Kids* Reusable Pouches
For kids who like to get out and about, we massively recommend the Nom Nom Kids reusable pouches and we think they’d make a great stocking filler for kids who love their days out!

We love the Nom Nom Kids pouches as they are not only reusable, but they’re lightweight and once they’re empty, they can pack flat, so take up no space in your bags!
Taking your own food with you can help save money as well as the environment. It means you don’t need to buy food when out, which often comes in single-use or non-recyclable packaging.

They’re great for camping, packed lunches, school lunches, daytrips, and storing food at home – plus with the fun monster detail, they’ll be sure to put a smile on your face!
Find out more about the NomNom Kids pouches here – you can use discount code LILY10 at the checkout too!

Family festival tickets
Tickets for a family festival is a fantastic idea for a present as you’re not only giving the kids an incredible present, but you’re lining up a family weekender for the following year!
What’s more, ahead of Christmas, you can usually get payment plans, to help spread the cost of many festivals.
We massively recommend Gloworm Festival, Camp Bestival and Elderflower Fields, but if you’re after any other ideas or 2022 dates, check out our family festival lineup here.

Science Mad! 5-in-1 Weather Station*
How awesome is this weather station?! When we first saw the Science Mad! 5-in-1 Weather Station from Trends Toys at BlogOn, I knew this would be a fantastic gift for Christmas that is not only fun, but will definitely have that wow-factor on Christmas morning!

Suitable for ages 6+, this 5-in-1 weather station includes a 3-cup anemometer that spins to measure the wind speed in either miles or kilometres per hour.

Its features include:
• INDICATOR: An indicator points to where the wind is coming from, and when used with the integral compass, allows you to keep a record of the wind direction.
• THERMOMETER: The thermometer measures temperature in both degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit.
• GAUGE: A pull-out rain gauge allows you to measure the inches or millimetres of rainfall over a particular period.
Lily has great fun with this and asks every time it gets windy or rainy outside to see how fast the wind is blowing or how much rain the gauge has collected.

The other great thing about this weather station is that it doesn’t require batteries, so you can get it outdoors and start playing with it instantly!
The Science Mad! 5-in-1 Weather Station retails at £17.99srp and is available from Amazon.
Happy Feet Play Mats
Another of my favourite discoveries from BlogOn were these Happy Feet Play Mats – orthopedic sensory play mats for kids and adults of all ages.
Developed under the supervision of doctors and orthopedic specialists, these mats come in different shapes, sizes and textures, in both soft and hard firm options.

They all interlink like a jigsaw puzzle, so you can mix or match the squares as you please, or build up the collection as you go along – even more perfect if you or your family never know what to buy for Christmas or birthday presents, as they can always choose another square to add to the puzzle!
You can also buy them in sets – they look fantastic all interlinked together. My favourites when testing were the island (I’m buying myself one of these for under my desk!) and the stones, but they come in all sorts of options such as turtles, space and acorns too!

These are fantastic for explorers of all ages, creating your own sensory adventures at home, in your living room or garden, or even for slipping in your bags for fun when heading away on holiday!

Learning Resources UK GeoSafari® Vega 360 Telescope*
Does your kid love outer space or dream of being an astronaut? Check out the GeoSafari Vega 360 Telescope – a real working telescope for kids that supports STEM learning.

Powerful, lightweight, and portable, this telescope is perfect to help children aged 8+ get started in astronomy, and delivers clear, up-close images at magnifications of 18x, 27x, 45x, 67x.
It’s lightweight, easy to set up, has a diagonal mirror for comfortable viewing, and a sturdy tripod for on-the-go STEM learning.
Designed for spotting wildlife and exploring space, there’s a fantastic manual with it to tell you more. It is such great quality and I know Lily will have years of fun with this – we may even have to take it on one of our camping adventures to see what we can find!

Kids Onesies
Adventures at home and when you’re away are definitely better when wrapped up in one of the Kids Onesies!
I bought Lily one last year and she has loved it so much that I have bought her another for swimming – so she has one for home/camping and one for swimming lessons!

We found them more affordable than other onesies for kids and they’re amazing quality too – but the hardest decision is which one to get as they’re all fantastic!
From dinosaurs to unicorns, tigers, lions and more, plus gaming onesies too, you really are spoiled for choice.
They even do blankets, fluffy sleeping bags to cosy up on the sofa with, and adult onesies too, plus you’re buying from a UK-based, small, family-run business.

Whether you’re looking to stay cosy from the winter weather, to wrap up for camping, festivals or other adventures, or just find a gift that will be loved again and again, I really recommend Kids Onesies!

Learning Resources UK Dig & Display Fossil kit
Lily’s recently been obsessed over fossils, so this summer I bought her the Dig & Display Fossil Kit from Learning Resources UK and she loved it so much that it is not only taking pride of place on her bedside table, but she has also asked for the gem digging kit too!
The kit allows kids to use the included tools to break through the clay and search for the eight real fossils hidden within.

Once they’ve found the fossils, they can then use the included booklet to identify the fossils and find out more about them.
Then, as if that wasn’t enough, the box itself converts into the display, allowing you to come back to your fossils again and again.
Whether you’re looking for a brand-new educational activity or have a budding paleontologist on your hands, we massively recommend this kit!
