With summer 2021 looking very different and staycations on the cards for many, we thought we’d share our top 10 family travel products that would not only make great gifts, but are also super handy when travelling with kids too!
We’ve also included as many eco-friendly products as possible as we want many more generations to be able to enjoy our incredible planet.

Nom Nom Kids reusable pouches
We are HUGE fans of the Nom Nom Kids reusable pouches, and they’ve joined us on adventures for several years now, from picnics and days out to camping trips and long road trips.
They’re reusable, making them great for the environment, but also fold completely flat so take up nearly no storage space when they’re empty – much better than carrying around a bulky lunch box!
They come in different sizes and different designs too and are super easy to wash. Happy kids, happy parents!
We’ve also recently been trying out their new reusable ice pop bags – a definite win in our house as they’re so easy to use and handy for hot summer days or to cool down after school.

Bundle Bed
After a recent explosion with Lily’s latest airbed, we’ve finally given in to our wish for a Bundle Bed! You can check out our full review here, but they’re a full bed in a bundle, complete with self-inflating mattress, pillow and 15 tog duvet, all rolled up into one easy-to-carry bundle.
Lily isn’t a fan of sleeping bags and so we find ourselves carrying multiple airbeds, pump, duvet and pillow across campsites and festival sites – the Bundle Bed will now solve that!
We are also wanting to find more ways to protect the environment, and the Bundle Bed not only lasts from child to adult but it has a 10 year warranty too – long lasting and better than throwing away used airbeds.
They’ve worked with an osteopath to design the mattress with air and memory foam – something I was nervous about, but we can’t wait to give it a go!

Kelty Bestie Blanket
We can’t go anywhere without our Kelty Bestie Blankets. Our first was gifted from Little Trekkers, and we loved it so much that we bought two more!
They’re super cosy and great for road trips, cosying up around the campfire and for an extra layer when camping too – for kids and adults alike. In fact, my mum loved ours so much in the caravan last year that we bought one for her too!
Our blankets live in our car as they are rolled up into a small sleeping bag-style bag, so easy to store and easy to get out when needed!

Dinoski Sun Hat
We love everything from Dinoski, but then this year they have brought out a brand new summer range, which has just blown us away, including a poncho towel, swim shorts, swim suit and sun hat.
Everything is eco-friendly, made from recycled bottles, making them a great choice for the environment too – plus they come in all their amazing characters including Spike the Dinosaur, Patch the Panda and Sparkle the Unicorn.
The sun hat is a great addition to every kids’ wardrobe, with one size fitting kids up to the age of 10. It protects kids from the sun UPF50+ with neck protector too, is quick drying and has a flip peak too to be worn up or down – plus they look super rad!

My Busy Bots Fun Folders
My Busy Bots have been with us for many adventures, days out, camping trips and even to Butlins too! We’ve loved all their activity bags and activity packs, and now our Fun Folder is a firm staple for all our trips.
You can store all their amazing hand-drawn activity booklets in there (eco-friendly printing!) as well as your coloured pencils (included!) and stickers, all zipped up in the beautiful, colourful, wipe-clean file.
There are packs for kids of all ages, that you can then top up when you’ve finished the activity pack.
We love how easy everything is to store in one place, they’re such high quality and how beautiful they are too!

CarGoSeat (gifted for review)
The CarGoSeat is a fully-regulated child’s Group 3 car booster seat, which is also a storage suitcase on wheels!
Lily has this permanently in our car now with her outdoor toys inside for the campsite, however we will take this as hold luggage when we can go abroad, as she can use the booster seat in rental cars, while taking along her favourite toys in the 10 litre case.
What’s more, they also recycle them for free when you no longer use it – although there are years of fun to be had with these!

Learning Resources UK Kidnoculars
Those who follow us will know how much we love the Kidnoculars from Learning Resources UK.
They’re child-friendly binoculars, set to a zoom, so kids don’t need to worry about changing any settings, and they fit perfectly in Lily’s hand, with a snug rubber seal around the edge to be comfortable on her face.
I also love the safety snap on the neck cord as although it can drop off when she runs around, I know she is safe.
What’s more, they’re a great distraction on longer walks to keep her distracted when her little legs start to get tired!

Toast’d kits
Love marshmallow toasting but don’t have a camp fire? Then look no further! From evenings in the garden and movie nights, through to campsite fun, you need to check out the Toast’d kits.
The marshmallow toasting kits come with high-quality marshmallows, chocolate drops, sprinkles and an eco-friendly gel burner, all in eco-friendly, plastic-free packaging.
As if that’s not enough, they also have a ‘free from’ kit that is dairy free, gluten free, and suitable for vegans!

Kids Onesies
We love a onesie, and now we have fallen in love with KidsOnesies – a fantastic brand offering a whole range of different onesies for kids and adults.
Most people think of onesies when you’re snuggling on the sofa for winter, but we absolutely love them on a campsite!
They’re perfect for chilly evenings, cooler mornings and for playing in around the campsite too!
You can find everything from unicorns and dinosaurs to pugs and tigers, with something for everyone’s taste! They’re super soft and Lily absolutely loves her one.

Have you seen these fantastic Scrunch Buckets? Made out of silicone with a rope handle, they’re squishable so easy to store or pack away, plus they’re reusable, recyclable and eco-friendly too!

What’s more, they’ve also a whole range of silicone moulds and spades too, so great for hours of outdoor fun!
