With 2021 being the year of the staycation, we’re really excited to see so many of our favourite farm parks and wildlife parks in the Midlands lay out an epic spring and summer of camping.
Whether you’re looking for a pop-up weekend of wild camping, or a campsite surrounded by animals, there are some great ideas for a weekend or holiday with the family on farm and wildlife parks.
If you know any more, then let me know!
West Lodge Farm Park
Anyone who follows us will know how much we love West Lodge Farm Park, and last summer we joined them on one of their fantastic camping weekends.
You can read our full review here, but we loved it so much that we booked for 2021 the minute it was announced (they do get booked up fast!).
The team have reduced numbers for the camping weekends, so have added even extra dates through the spring and summer to make sure as many families as possible can still enjoy their weekend.
What’s more, this year they’re offering two nights on the farm as well as one night. Your tickets include entrance to the farm park on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (or Saturday and Sunday for one night), Hog Roast meal on Saturday night, family scavenger hunt around the walks on Saturday evening, camp fire and toasting marshmallows, family quiz on Saturday night and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning (or Sunday for one night).
We had so much fun last year – it is relaxed, peaceful, stunning views, delicious food, and a beautiful happy weekend for all the family.
Bluebell Dairy Ice Cream Getaway
A wild camping experience on the dairy farm with an ice cream twist!
Set in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Bluebell Dairy is a beautiful farm park to visit with all the family – with the best ice cream too!
This year, on select dates from May to August, you can camp within the grounds of Bluebell Dairy, which you have access to throughout your stay.
Your ticket includes not only your pitch, but also your breakfast and dinner, access to park facilities, out-of-hours play areas, nature trails, fresh milk from their herd and of course ice cream sundae making!
Cotswold Farm Park Campsites
Cotswold Farm Park has its own year-round campsite alongside it’s stunning farm park, nestled in the Cotswolds.
They have pitches for tents, as well as camping pods, glamping tents, lodges and more, so even if you don’t fancy a night under canvas, you have plenty of options to still enjoy their campsite.
What’s more, as they’re a campsite, you also have access to toilet block, washing up facilities and shower blocks, and can make a whole holiday out of your stay. There is also an on-site shop, cafe, bar, and farm park tickets are included with your stay.
