Tbe Notgrove Estate is an impressive array of different accommodations for a beautiful holiday in the Cotswolds, nestled amongst some of the most stunning of countryside.

We’ve now been twice and will definitely stay again. Why? Because it has everything you need for an incredible break in the Cotswolds, whether you’re looking for a romantic weekend away or a family holiday.
Accommodation at Notgrove
On both visits we stayed in the glamping pods on site, first in Buttercup and then in Poppy.

You also have the option of luxury barns (sleeping between 6 and 30 guests) or safari tents (sleep up to 6), both which are suitable for larger family or friend groups, however with just Lily and me, we find the glamping pods much more affordable – and everything we love too.

What I would like to add is that everything is so well spread out across the estate that you rarely come across any other guests, despite there being so many different accommodation options – it is always peaceful and as relaxing as you would like!
The glamping pods have everything you need, with a double bed, living area with small pull-out bed, tiny washroom with toilet, shower and sink, and a little kitchen with single hob, fridge and kettle.

You can save money by bringing your own bedding and kitchen utensils/plates etc, or have them as an add-on ready for your arrival.
Each pod is kept private by its own little boundary of flowers and hedge, so you can relax outdoors without coming across other visitors if you wish.

You face onto the alpaca field, which is a beautiful little walk to see the goats, pigs and other animals on the farm. Behind the pods, there are extensive, unspoiled views of the stunning fields.
What do I need to bring?
Everything or nothing! Depending on what you want to pay, you can have the basic room packages or pay more for bedding, plates, cutlery etc. You can also add on firewood for the log burner!

With just Lily and me in the pods, we find it cheaper and easier just to bring a sheet, blanket and some sleeping bags, as well as our camping box that is filled with our picnic set of plates and cutlery.
You also have a little fridge so can bring your own milk, teabags and coffee to make a hot drink, and any food you may need for your stay.

Again, cooking utensils can be hired if needed, but for our little weekends we tend to use the little kitchen for basic meals or make picnic lunches in the pod to enjoy on the picnic bench outdoors.
Food & Drink
You have plenty of options for eating, whether you want to make something and enjoy it in your accommodation or head out.

The Nuttery is their own licensed cafe and bar in the Notgrove village, where you can find coffee and cakes through to delicious breakfasts and meals, just a few minutes’ walk from your accommodation. Follow them on Facebook here!
You’re also only 3 miles from the beautiful village of Bourton-on-the-Water where you can find a whole range of restaurants, cafes and small supermarkets.

The team also recommend some local pubs nearby that are walkable from Notgrove, however we haven’t ventured there before.
Things to do on site
There is a lovely games room on site with pool table, piano, football table and table tennis.

Outdoors you can find some football goals, benches to relax on as well as a wooden climbing frame for the kids.
You are also able to hire bikes to support your stay – and even now book quad bike experiences too!

There are so many cycle paths that lead you around the beautiful countryside as well as walking paths, whether you’re looking for a walking holiday or just an evening leisurely stroll!

Location
You are situated in the beautiful Cotswold Hills, surrounded by stunning views.

The estate is not more than 10 minutes by car from Cotswold Farm Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, as well as close to Bourton-on-the-Water, which is not only a stunning little village with beautiful bridges to explore, but also home to attractions such as Birdland and the Model Village.

In the summer or at weekends we recommend going into the village early as it can get busy, but it is such a beautiful place to wander.
For even more exploring, you are also close to Upper and Lower slaughter, Northleach and Stow-on-the-Wold.
We’ve loved the Cotswolds every time we have visited, and Notgrove is nothing short of perfect whether you look to explore all the gems of the Cotswolds, or just wish to relax in the stunning countryside.

The staff have always been so helpful, the accommodation has always been so clean, and even in the peak of summer, the whole estate has been so peaceful.
What’s more, everything is so well maintained and you’re in the perfect location to enjoy everything the Cotswolds has to offer.
Prices start at just £60 per night for two people in the pods, but we recommend booking well in advance as they do get booked up quickly!
