If you’re looking for an affordable soft play in Leicester, then look no further than Fun Valley.
We have been on 3 occasions now; once in the school holidays, once during a term time weekday, and once for a weekend birthday party, and despite vowing not to go back during holidays ever again (that was more to any soft play, not just this one!), it was really affordable on every visit compared to other soft plays.
Fun Valley has a great area for over 4s, that although is tricky for some of them with shorter legs to master the climb, there is plenty for them all to do. Lily is a particular fan of the very long slides!
The under 4s area is great too, with ball pits, a ball tube, and smaller area for climbing/sliding on, as well as a 20ft climbing wall with dedicated session times on Friday evenings and weekends.
Not only is the entrance cheap in comparison to other soft plays at just £3 for a child, and you don’t need to pay for an adult, but the food is relatively cheap too.

You can get a simple meal for a child for less than £3, for example veggie sticks, hoops or beans, and potato or chips, and the cakes are really tasty too (so I’ve heard ;)!) They also have healthier options such as salads or a jacket potato, which are also really good.
Lily also had a fun birthday party there one Sunday, which was well organised by the staff, including a special throne for the birthday boy, simple hot food and ice cream that they all enjoyed – and they all had great fun.
There’s also plenty of child-friendly toilets and changing areas, and I particularly liked how controlled the entrance/exit was from the reception to ensure your child is safe.
I’d really recommend it if you’re looking for a decent soft-play in Leicester – it’s affordable, fun, clean, and the little ones loved it.
Tips for visiting
- Visit during weekdays in term time and it is usually really quiet – particularly around lunchtime
- Remember to type in your car registration at reception to avoid a fine
- The entrance and roads surrounding it can get quite busy, so avoid arriving/leaving at school/peak times
